I agree he should have seen the field in 2023. But we both know that the staff was (and still is) very risk averse and he must have been seen as having more downside than Hill. I don't agree with that because at the very least Labas could have provided more mobility.

Every time I look at the box score for Labas' stats, he seems to be good for at least 1 interception and a lot of times 2 or more. Could have been an issue as to why he never climbed the depth chart here.

I watched the replay today and saw the hold on Phillips. I think he scores a touchdown if he wasn't held. At worst, he should have drawn the penalty flag and it would have extended the drive. We may not have scored that drive but it probably prevents them from getting the late first half FG.

I think it is a combination of Drake not being great in that game and Robert Morris maybe a little better than they were getting credit for after getting beat by Iowa.
