    Ferentz fatigue?

While how were playing is nothing to get excited about, I would bet if the score was the same but we played Oregon last week the mentality would be slightly different. People are pissed because at the end of the day, regardless of where how they see Iowa, it's a loss to ISU. It's a rivalry...

    NCAA Rankings

Sorry Mr. Positivity, but two games in, and one of those games being a rivalry game that generally comes down to the wire, is far from "being destined to another worthless bowl game". I'm not saying that I'm happy about the ISU loss and agree its a bad thing, but there's 10 games left. I'll...

Will KF try an other QB this season?

I'm not saying Gronowski is anyway near worth what he's getting, and tbh at this point he's laughing his way to the bank, but IMO I agree that it's time to stop paying big bucks for a QB. I honestly think we need to find a QB willing to take half of that and put the rest toward receivers...

Will KF try an other QB this season?

You really think it'll bother him? I don't think there's anything on the field that could happen in which Kirk would give two shits about noise from the fans.

Week 1: Rutgers Week 2: Maryland Week 3: Houston Nothing better then seeing Deion get beat and what better way to do it. IF they lose I deserve to get eliminated.

    For no good reason

It pains me to say it, but after two games I don't think we can say that Gronoski is "lights out better than the clown car of misfits we paraded out at QB last year". He may have a higher ceiling, but at this point he's shown that from a running perspective yes, but from a throwing perspective...

    For no good reason

Didn't handle business? Not being that guy, but did you actually watch the game? Albany had one drive all day. So what if we were trailing at one point. We absolutely dominated them on the ground and the TOP battle. We damn near had the ball 38 minutes and put up 320 on the ground. Yeah...

Mark Gronowski talks about disappointing first start,

I agree 100%. Expectations can be nasty at times. We all know what he's capable of, but often expect it immediately or maybe a little too much.

Mark Gronowski talks about disappointing first start,

From my point of view I'd rather see him come out struggling game one and progress over time, then taking the McNamara approach where he throws a TD his first pass of his career and its slowly down hill from there the rest of the way.

    For no good reason

While it might feel that this may get out of hand lets remember the nature of the rivalry. Games are generally incredibly close and come down to the wire. Sure there's the occasional blowout, but fact is we've had what looked to be great teams get beat by weaker ISU teams and we've done the...

Mark Gronowski talks about disappointing first start,

No argument there whatsoever, but was it that much worse of a performance then we're use to seeing the past couple years? Honestly I'm not sure and if that was his worst lets hope for the best. Only one direction to go from here.

Owen Freeman? Never heard of her.

We know they're going to be looking to attack us through the air and we keep hearing about whether or not our secondary can rise up to the challenge, but the flipside that I'm not hearing a whole lot about is whether or not they can stop our running game. So much focus was put on our passing...

Mark Gronowski talks about disappointing first start,

New team. New stadium. 70,000+ screaming fans thinking he's going to resurrect the passing game, and all he wants to do is be that guy. That's a lot for anyone and could definitely cause some butterflies.

Mark Gronowski talks about disappointing first start,

I could be totally wrong, but I see it no different then a Freshman making his first career start. Tons of nerves and emotions running high, first time in playing at Kinnick, hyped as the cure for our offensive woes. I can definitely see it being overwhelming. Not saying there isn't reason...

Clones a 3 point favorite at this point

Not being that guy but why? Given they're ranked and at home, but Kansas St. snuck out a 3 pt. win over the weekend and looked far from being dominant. Sure we didn't look good, but I don't think the game was ever in question and our running game showed a lot. I'd take Iowa and the 10 in a...

Mark Gronowski talks about disappointing first start,

My two cents. The run game was lit and we didn't need to throw. Showed a lot of different looks with his ability to run the ball. Did he look good throwing the ball? No, but we didn't need him to throw the ball that game. Hopefully it was first game jitters. We know he's capable and can...

    Well shit....

Hate saying its ever a good time, but at least its before our opener against a non-conference opponent. I get ISU's on the horizon, but it gives us time to get ready and find other guys to take those reps. There's never a good time, but earlier in the season seems much better then late in the...

    Predictions for Albany

Honestly don't mind. Not ideal but can easily get behind the idea of sitting on my ass and having some colds later in the day then doing it at 11:00 AM. And who knows with a later start I might even get something done around the house other then watching football. Probably not, but it sounds...
