Oh to have a QB who can run

Iowa tried many many times over Kirk's entire tenure to recruit running quarterbacks. Eric McCollom, Jason Manson, Arvell Nelson, Marvin McNutt (recruited as QB), Peyton Mansell, Marco Lainez, etc. But they never had success. They were unable to develop them. To begin with, they were...

    Matt Campbell & Job Openings.

There are so many open jobs right now, I think his total resume would catch the eye of one of the openings. Maybe I am wrong. It may not maximize the contract offer he receives, but he could still end up in a nice job.

    Matt Campbell & Job Openings.

If there is any year that Campbell should leave, this is the year. If not, he is an ISU lifer.

    Around the B1G

Would have been different, but Kirk gave away 9 points. One of the worst performances of his career.

    Receiving stats

Gronowski is doing what a lot of Wisconsin QBs have done over the last 30 years. Not much of a passing game, but getting 2 or 3 first downs per game with their legs can make all the difference.

    Keegan Murray...

Even if the sons weren't listed on the loan, their presence as a draw as camp counselors and the like would help make the loan appear more attractive to the bank.

    Is CC funding WBB NIL?

Lots of football NIL funding is coming from former players. Makes sense for CC to give back.

    Receiving stats

Gronowski missing spring ball, then being injured, has prevented his growth in the system. Our WR group is stronger, but still well below average. I think Jacob Gill has his back arm yanked just before the ball arrived, but he has to make a play there. I do think Lester is going to have...

Good win for sure and tough schedule ahead

Nebraska has been sacked 25 times, third worst in the country. (Auburn 27, South Carolina 26. Iowa 9.)

Iowa favored by 8.5 over Minnesota

Seems large. I'll be happy with a one point victory. Black out game in Kinnick at 2:30pm. I'll see you there.

Good win for sure and tough schedule ahead

This is why they left Gronoswki in forever against Wisconsin. They knew they needed to work on the passing game in a live situation.

    2 pt Conversions

It is just dumb to have such a substandard offense and to go for 2 when it is anything other than absolutely necessary. The first time, it was chasing points and absolutely dumb. It should have been a 3 point game at the end.

Minnesota vs #25 Nebraska in FOX

PFF shows Nestor with a little over 300 snaps at CB this year. 309 wide CB and 7 as slot CB. They rank him #399 out of 854 CB. TH Hall #89. Deshaun Lee #467.

    To defer or not??

Kirk has a .642 win ptg when we start on offense. .567 when we start on defense. It is a Jedi mind trick. Kirk takes the ball, our offense fizzles out, and we punt, showing the other team that the punt is not a bad outcome.

Not gonna rain until 9 or 10pm or even later. We may just avoid it.

    Cignetti's Off The Table...

Cig is a great coach, and I think he really will stay there long term. He is already 64. Coach until 72 and retire. And I think he will do well there.

    Cignetti's Off The Table...

I love this news. Great for Indiana. Bad for Penn State. Good for college football.
