    Badgers hiring Fickell

I think we mostly agree. Minnesota is a really tough out these days. Except for Iowa, strangely. Kill was a tough out as well.

I'm not forgetting that at all. I lived in Madison for 15 years and am very familiar with Wisconsin football. Wisconsin's line was meh this year and their results showed it.

    Badgers hiring Fickell

This year, the tight pants rower beat zero ranked teams. Lost to Purdue and Iowa. Did beat Wisconsin. Crushed by Penn State. Lost to Illinois. They had a very manageable schedule. So they won 8 games with a very manageable schedule. He's never beaten KF.

True! The tight pants boat rower is a marketing machine with decent teams. If you didn't beat Iowa the last two years you're not amazing :)

    Badgers hiring Fickell

I guess time will tell. Wisconsin certainly has some advantages, as you've noted. Having said that, their fanbase has become "Nebraska lite." By that, I mean they expect to destroy their west division counterparts and beat teams like Michigan. Many of their fans are pretty intolerant of...

Howe: Can Cade McNamara Fix Iowa Offense?

No QB is going to be good (or throw downfield with accuracy) with the line being SO awful (like this year and maybe last year). Hell, our traditional offense couldn't run the ball either. So, while we love to rip on Petras, QBs have to have a bit of time (and have a decent running game). Not...

    Iowa Basketball stuck in Meh

Seems like a lot of Iowans move away from Iowa. Has been true for decades. Also it seems like parents have to have kids in training programs akin to being olympians or concert pianists, so with work, kids, and big TVs that show your game every week, it's tough to get to games, I would imagine.

Tom Manning Out As IA State O Coordinator.

I don't know. He's coached with some other great programs, and arguably may bring a lot of modern (post 1970's) offensive schemes. He's certainly coached some great players, and has been around the Alabama and Michigan programs. Having said that I know really nothing about him as a coach.

Yes, people underestimate the difficulty in trying to go through your reads when rushers are coming at you untouched.

Another In A Long Line Of Quality Players And Coaches In Lincoln

You make a good point about some people's brains being wired differently. I have no idea what this coach's history is, but people who have experienced childhood trauma have brains that work differently (in a bad way). There is a very well known study called the ACE Study (Adverse Childhood...
