    Iowa And The CFP

It's pretty simple: Iowa must go 10-2, which means 7-1 the rest of the way. With this brutal schedule, it seems impossible. But if it is going to happen, they must defeat Indiana. Indiana is a playoff game for Iowa.

    Indiana

Grono is getting confidence. Kirk, please leave the offense wide open and let him run or pass. Do not go conservative like the first half of Iowa State!!!

    Pollard, Campbell and Goetz

The answer is YES. A multi-billionaire named Albaugh and another named Stine. They are outspending Iowa.

    My worthless two cent rant.

This is it in a nutshell. Phil is a genius but there is no genius on offense. It’s all Kirk playing not to lose. He’s wasting Phil.

    Ferentz fatigue?

Kirk is 70. SEVENTY. He’s out of gas. You can see it in his face. Exhausted. Let Phil or someone else take the reins. It’s time. This team has Zero weapons on offense. Zilch. Nada. And now injuries to some of the best players. Will they move on if he goes 5-7? Because I think it’s gonna...

    Gronowski - ISU Post Game

Sorry to be a Debbie Downer. Just not seeing it with this kid. Brandon Sullivan was a better prospect. Why let Brandon go and bring this kid in? No poise; not accuracy; nothing. I'm just not seeing it.

Auburn stakes claim to 1958 Hawkeye Championship

I actually did some work on this topic several years ago. Iowa’s nattys were in 1921, 1922, 1956, 1958 and 1960. All legitimate. The only other year where a claim could be made would be Iowa’s undefeated Big Ten champs in 1900.

    College Football Playoff

I think if Iowa is going to go to the playoffs, that is going to have to include victories over Iowa State (who will be ranked at the time), and either Oregon or Penn State. Losses to Iowa State, Penn State and Oregon will disqualify Iowa. On the other hand, 10-2 with wins over Iowa State and...

    Potenial Big Ten-SEC schedule Alliance

Some moron writer from the Knoxville Sentinel named John Adams predicted that the SEC would go 16-0 against the Big Ten this fall if they played head to head match ups. Seriously? Did he watch Ohio State destroy Tennessee in the cold last fall? Or Michigan manhandle Alabama? If games are...

    Predict 2025 (Spring Version)

I really think our offense is going to be dangerous. The defense will be better than you think. With Kirk's teams and his style of play (which I'm a big fan of) it always comes down to the close games that are decided by a touchdown or less. Last year during the regular season we lost very...

Now That The Novelty Has Died Down Some...

Rumor on the other board that he has locked up a big man. Amazing how we are burying the new coach before he even coaches a game for Iowa.

    Freeman commits

It's tough when you lose the coach that recruited you. He will thrive at Creighton,; a fine school, team and fan base, not to mention a great coach.

    Brock Harding

I liked Harding a lot. But what we need are strong, physical front court players, not an undersized point guard. It would be great to keep Dix and/or Sandfort.

    Fran to Penn...

The whole NIL situation is nuts. Some of these teams now have basically what is a new roster every year. When there is some adversity, a team can splinter quite quickly. I think that happened at Iowa State this year. Run BMC is going to have to run hard and fast to get Iowa competitive again...

Happy for Fran. He will win a lot at Penn, I think.
