I agree with this... I think it's more about whether a kid has peaked in their skills early (MG) and/or playing out of position due to needs vs. ability vs. coaching up. Iowa has struggled for many years to find scoring point guards... "many years" as in clear back to the beginning of Davis's...

Truthfully, anyone that wasn't expecting issues with a young team had their head in the sand... it's baffling how people think they can judge a player by watching players with limited experience and 5 games into a season. Wisconsin looked pretty bad at this point last year... just saying...

Last year's drop off was all about the offense and scoring options... You had JU and Jok getting a combined 35-40 pts/game avg, but we really had no other options to get the additional 35-40 pts. Some players had good games but it takes a consistent combination to maintain the offensive...

I agree with the lack of experience is going to be the hardest part to overcome... The grind in the B1G is very difficult and tough on new players - no matter how athletic. Most newcomers under estimate the competition and find themselves struggling about half way through the conference schedule.
