From his actions it doesn't seem as though Olesani has any interest at all in being a Hawk, which is fine. That being said, I'd like to see Fran pull his offer and move on (even though I know that won't happen before tomorrow).

Don't bank too much on young Mr.Olesani. Texas is losing three players to the NBA, so I'm guessing they'll have scholarships to give. Maybe a project like Olesani will be intriguing to Coach Barnes. Gabe may finally get his wish and not have to consider Iowa anymore.

I think Olesani is secretly holding out for a Nebraska offer. Apparently it's what all the kids want this year. On a (slightly) more serious note, I like the idea of commit or good bye. If he thinks there's something better out there then the young man should go and find it and stop...

No. Two players on the list won't be Hawks. I'll be surprised if even one is. That being said, I have faith that Fran will bring in kids that will help get the program back to where it needs to be.

if we don't get any of the players we've been hearing the most about. I almost expect three kids I've never heard of to sign for Iowa, which is fine. I just hope they're good. I guess recruiting is going to be interesting for awhile (at least until we turn the proverbial corner).

Young Mr. Washpun is probably packing for Knoxville as I type this. I won't blame him if he decides to go to Tennessee. He's had a relationship with Cuonzo Martin for awhile and probably feels comfortable with the prospect of playing for him.

Not trying to sound overly negative, but after reading the article it sounds to me like his first choice is Tennessee (if offered, of course). All of the people who don't want Washpun may not have to worry about it.

Wasn't it an eagerness to speak under oath that got him into this predicament in the first place? Throughout his career Clemens always came across (at least to me) as a grade a D-bag, and I hope this all ends up being a case of just deserts.
