I think we will be a lot better than last year. Hopefully, the grad transfer will be healthy this year and pick Iowa. Garza is going to be a lot better after a year of recovery. They are going to be deep in the front court. They could use the point guard transfer. I just think they will be...
I think Nunge and Fredrick are going to be a lot better than people think. I doubt Nunge is as good as an athlete as Cook, but he is a good athlete that is probably four inches taller and probably a few pounds heavier. Nunge and Fredrick didn't get all the accolades they got in high school for...
It sounds pretty important. The reality is he will either come to Iowa or he won't. Hopefully, wherever he goes it will be whats best for him and his family.
Hopfully, Evelyn comes to Iowa next year. They should be a fun team to watch. I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do with the two 6 ft 11 or 7 ft guys they will have down low next year. Toussaint should have a lot of fun too.
If there is someone to blame for a teams shortcomings it would definitely be the multi-millionaires that coach the team. They recruit and coach the guys. It is to bad we weren't able to see the true Bohannon the last couple of years because of injuries.
It looks like Iowa might get this grad transfer from valpo. He is a point guard that Iowa heavily recruited out of high school. His stats weren't great from last year due to a nagging ankle injury, but they were pretty good the year before.
Its going to be a shock to him next winter when there isn't any snow. the guys that are leaving are good players, but IOwa has some pretty good players to take their place.
I hope the best for the guy, and I hope he is healthy, but I'm not going to think Iowa basketball is dependent upon Bohannon. People have been saying how bad a defensive player he was, and I guess he has a bonafide reason for it with his hip.
I don't think kids of multi millionaires worry about their future outcomes the same as the average folks. The guy is on the deans list and his dad is loaded. I doubt he is to concerned about it. I don't know why he should be on a full scholarship in basketball if he is a part time player though.
Shooting is the Bohannon forte. I don't see him getting a lot of practice shots in with the type of surgery he had. He won't be in basketball shape or shooting shape.
Hopefully, the surgery is over with by now and he can start his recovery. Fredrick and Toussaint both have impressive histories. You never know how a recruit will work out until he plays. Iowa has had lots of guys bomb out and had lots of guys that weren't highly esteemed and were...
Toussaint and Fredrick are quality players. I think they will be more than capable. McCaffery got his feet wet last year. I doubt Bohannon will be able to practice shooting if he is having surgery on a hip.
Maybe Bohanon should just retire from basketball. It wouldn't be worth it if it would effect his future. The guy isn't going to be in the NBA or make a ton of money after basketball. The thought of what Dan Gable has gone through comes to mind. He has had a lot of surgeries from being a...
Personally I'm just relying on what McCaffery has stated. Hopefully, he will be pretty good as a true freshman. I see no reason he can't give iowa ten to fifteen minutes of quality time per game. He brings elements to the team that have been lacking. If he can't play within the framework...
I don't expect Toussaint to start or be on the all freshman team, but to say he isn't capable of giving Iowa ten to fifteen minutes of quality play might be wrong. He will bring things to the team no other player can bring. Even if he only focuses on defense for the ten or fifteen minutes it...
