If it were a matter of effort, I'd agree to benching the starters (except on Senior night). I saw guys diving in the stands and on the floor which leads me to believe it's not about effort.

I'm not really sure what your angle is here, but if we hypothetically finished last in the conference next year, I believe Fran would still get at least two more years to turn it around, based on the fact that he took Iowa to 3 consecutive NCAA berths.

Funny thing is, we'll still finish 11-7 in the conference with two more losses, which is better than most of thought they would finish. It's just a regression to the mean thing.

Everyone makes clutch 3s against us down the stretch. When it goes wrong, it goes wrong. But then when we don't guard them at the 3 pt. line, those things will happen.

I don't blame Gesell at all for that last play. He converts on those drives probably 65-70% of the time with the other 30-35% of times getting his stuff rejected. Nobody else is helping out so what's he supposed to do?
