    KF and recruiting

Iowa recruits to their pro-style offense. Can Iowa recruit? Wisconsin's recruiting is as good (or bad) as Iowa's.

    KF and recruiting

You saying Wisconsin can recruit? I put an emoji after this post to imply there's more to my post than concretely meets the eye.:D

    KF and recruiting

The difference between Iowa and Wisconsin is: Wisconsin's defense is dominant (no need to compare 4-3 to 3-4) while Iowa's defense is not.

    KF and recruiting

Right. Iowa can find players who don't have the need to display their athleticism.

    KF and recruiting

I'll give you that. Fletcher was the anomaly. Then there was that highly drafted Iowa cornerback to the Lions that washed out after about 3 years in the NFL...and they had to give him 3 years because they paid him so much on his contract.

Which is unappealing to highly rated high school recruits. Face it. KF's system is why Iowa can't recruit.

    #20 CFP Rankings

Would you change your mind if Iowa were to beat Wisky and vault to, let's say, 10th in the poll?

    KF and recruiting

All of those Hawks were cornerbacks in high school (and lower ranked high school recruits) who will be or are already safeties in the pros. Iowa just doesn't teach nor condone that much man on man pass coverage that a cornerback needs to be proficient in..

It adds to the drama of losing teams falling while winning teams staying put or possibly advancing towards a playoff game.

    KF and recruiting

KF doesn't recruit well because Iowa's system doesn't, for the most part, take advantage of the athleticism of players. KF says his program isn't sexy. What he means is it's boring and calculating. Highly rated high school athletes who want to show off those highly rated skills won't want to...

    Is everyone ready...

Wisky's defense is suspect in the passing game.

I don't know either. My guess is Barrett IV was getting too beat up to continue as the running back on each read option.

    Is everyone ready...

If we revert to field position BS; sitting on a 7pt lead; running repeatedly into the same wall and kneeling at the end of each half we'll have our answer as to what the future will look like. This is another side note to the thread, I agree, but Iowa's pass defense sucks. Penn State, Iowa...

It's not like Iowa is facing a juggernaut on offense with Wisky. Although, if Wisky hoards the game clock, Iowa's offense will have to strike quickly to get points...then again, that's probably just what KF wants (lots of game clock usage and not many points and not a quick strike Iowa offense).

He don't know KF do he.

    Pro-style efficiency, stellar

Hope it's not never will...we are playing the Badgers next with their offensive juggernaut.

Which head coach does Brian Ferentz remind you most of

Francis X. Lauterbur was an unsuccessful head football coach (pre-Hayden Fry) of Iowa football. Commings was another.. All Iowa HCs between Evashaveski and Fry were unsuccessful (1961-1978). I used the assist of a Wikipedia article for a lot of the info in this post. I do, however, remember...

Iowa only a 17 pt dog against Buckeyes?

So, an Iowa loss is always the offenses' fault, hum?
