    I've had it...

I don't think it's any of that either. Maybe MSU is a pretty solid team.

    I've had it...

It wasn't a fake punt that got Iowa beat today. But hey, if it fits your narrative, go with it.

    Rhoads-zo the Clown

I think you're way off there. I think most of us like the guy, we just get a chuckle out of his antics and how you folks and the media lap it up.

    Rhoads-zo the Clown

By ISU problem, I mean that you folks are believing in this guy, and buying tickets and merchandise and making a lot of noise, but to this point you haven't had a lot cheer about. You can't use "Forward" as a marketing slogan when your team is staring down the barrel of a 2 or 3 win season...

    Rhoads-zo the Clown

That's probably a fair comparison, the difference is that you can see (like in your mind) Fran's team making a big jump this year, and then sustaining that success. It's hard to see that with Rhoads.

    Rhoads-zo the Clown

I don't think anyone has a "problem" with his personality. What most people have a "problem" with - and this is more of an ISU fan problem than anything else - is his lack of results on the field. Paul talks a big game in the media, and genuinely sounds like a guy who knows what he's talking...

    Rhoads-zo the Clown

You guess? Coaching is a bottom line business, and that bottom line is winning games. Rhoads doesn't do that. There's nothing wrong with his personality; it's clearly endeared to the fan base and media, and you can never go wrong with the media on your side. But eventually you have to cut...

    Rhoads-zo the Clown

Fran's team have shown steady improvement, and that is reflected in the win/loss column. Rhoads teams haven't gotten noticeably better in any way, shape or form. At some point you have to win.

    Rhoads-zo the Clown

I'm gonna have to disagree with this. Outside of one or two games, ISU has been the afterthought they've always been in Rhoads 4+ years. Yes, his rant made for some good sound bites and a bit of national pub this morning when there wasn't anything else to talk about. But there are games...

    Rhoads-zo the Clown

Ya know, it is all possible for all of these things to be at the same time. Yes, it was a bad call. Yes, ISU put themselves in position to get jobbed by not getting the touchdown on their 2nd to last possession and by allowing the long touchdown at the end of the half.

    Will Illinois Knock of Nebraska?

No. They'll score a lot of points because of the high school defense Nebraska puts on the field, but they'll give up more. Martinez probably won't play, but that won't matter.

Not gonna read the whole thread, but Morehouse gives some pretty solid reasoning at the end of this article. MSU, Iowa take the deep dive into the Legends Division | TheGazette

    Biels takes a spill

I know, right? It would totally suck to win three outright league titles in a row, along with playing in the Rose Bowl all three of those years.

Except Bielema wins conference championships. Hate him or not, you can't argue with his results at Wisconsin.

Conference Title not out of the Question

Slow down. The make or break portion of the schedule is coming up over the next 4 games. If Iowa can split them or go 3-1, then we can talk about it.

If Iowa beats MSU next week do they deserve to be ranked?

No, and I'll make this longer due to length requirements.

2009 Penn State feel to this game.

I think this not because of the quality of both teams, but because of the build-up to the game. Minnesota has had this date circled since they walked off the field at Kinnick last year. Their fans, media and players have all pointed to this game as a potential turning point. Some of their...

Go Bears at Lions - your predictions and game thread

Bears play a team that has a pulse, but win a close one largely due to the game being indoors and Cutler (like Aaron Rodgers) is great in a dome. Lions go to Lambeau next week to get shredded by a ****** off and rested Aaron Rodgers.
