Their secondary surprised me as well. Through most of the game Stanzi was getting pressured in the pocket, forcing him to make tough throws. But even when he had time to throw it seemed like everyone was covered down field. They did and excellent job bottling up Moeaki also.

I'd say the offenses weren't the best but i think it was definitely a smashmouth, big ten defensive battle. Both defenses played extremely well and was really surprised how good MSU played on that side of the ball. The Spartans certainly came to play, but Stanzi wasn't gonna let his team lose...

I wasn't born yet when Rob kicked the game winner against michigan so I choose Stanzi to McNutt. "The Catch" in the capital one bowl comes in second to me because that game did not have the implications that this game could eventually have.
