Kansas just flippin' scored. They're still in it.

Bye Week - Who are we rooting for?

Hopefully the Hawks can stay healthy through this weekend's contests (and stay out of trouble).

Bye Week - Who are we rooting for?

Maryland beating Minnesota would definitely help the Hawks. Wisconsin over Purdue with half of Wisconsin's defense thrown out for targeting in the second half of the game. That would work.

Brian Ferentz Looking for Answers on Offense

I'm hoping Lachey makes it back at TE. He was starting to be a regular feature both blocking and receiving. Having tight ends who can block and release on either side complicates things for teams trying to blitz. If it's essentially just LaPorta at TE for the entire game, it kind of limits...

    A revealing stat

With the issues the offensive line was already having at tackle, I wonder how badly having Latchey and Ince out compounded the pass blocking issues. If you have both LaPorta and Latchey out there, you have more flexibility on who stays in for pass blocking while the other runs his passing...

Let Kirk retire, hire Ed Orgeron

The OP seems to want to take as big a flush as possible on both KF and the entire Iowa system. Ed Orgeron's Carroll era USC pedigree may appeal to quite a few people as representing high octane big boy football. OP either doesn't know about or maybe doesn't care about why Orgeron is being...

    Vent thread...Post your frustration here.

I didn't expect the offense to actually be worse at pass blocking against Purdue than it was against Penn State.

Besides a hawk win we need Nebby to beat Minny

All three games look competitive right now.

Besides a hawk win we need Nebby to beat Minny

Looks like they still have a pulse. Playing well on both sides of the ball and it looks like they have a QB.

Brown: It's A Repeat of 2015 for Iowa Football

Better punter and experienced QB make a lot of difference.

    Purdue information

Getting rid of Bob Diako is always a good thing. Sorry if I offend anyone, but Diako never was a good defensive coordinator. Should have stayed a linebacker coach.

Wanna Stop Flopping In College Football?

I wonder if something minimal would cut down on this. If a player injury causes a time stoppage the player must sit out for 3 plays or a change of possession, whichever comes first.

    The Offense

Yes, they used he defensive point in this. (They didn't specify, I checked.) Subtracting out the 23 defensive points gives 11.5 yards/pt which is #12. Still pretty good. They've had to face some good punters this year too. They haven't got trapped by it much. Either they got a play or...

    The Offense

Iowa is #6 in defensive yards-per-point at 21.1 (higher is better). This means opponents are putting up yards and getting little for it. Forcing turnovers will do that, long punts, and making the other team settle for field goals. Iowa is #3 at yard-per-point margin at 11. Last year Iowa was...
