Well said, although I disagree on QBs. Padilla showed me enough in a game situation I’d like to see him start the rest of the way. His quick release, accuracy and mobility pose challenges for opposing D’s that Petras simply cannot.

Start Padilla but keep KOK and BF the hell away from him. Iowa QBs tend to get worse with coaching by those two.

Padilla’s field vision, quick release and strong delivery and his mobility overcame a lot of softness in the O-line. Plus they didn’t have to hold the block that long. I regret the Ferentz’s didn’t give him more of a chance to throw downfield.

Look, glad we got the win. But we STRUGGLED to beat a lowly 3-6 Northwestern team, so keep it in perspective.
