    Tanner Miller to the Packers

I guess I get confused with what people “see” and how limited their scope is...The likely hood of Tanner making a roster isn’t all that good but several Iowa players have had NFL stints as a result of free agency. More importantly there have been a ton of terrific UDFAs go on to stellar...

From cbs sports-where Iowa's 2015 draft prospects rank at their positions.

A&Ms and Mizzous early success is evidence that the SEC isn't as great as people think than it is the other way around. They've been in the league two years I mean honestly that's a major reach. All those players were on both those teams already. The SEC will cycle down eventually and I get a...

    Is Willies the X factor?

Agreed.... As far as the D line goes I was struggling trying to remember the year splits there. It was their second year and I was confused there. C

    Is Willies the X factor?

DP, I concur on Josey Jewel and in fact when I watched him play in that state championship game he was in I found myself wondering how he could possibly be a 2-star. Now to be fair I think that a lot but literally as DP said he was explosive all over the field. On a corollary note I found...

    Is Willies the X factor?

To be fair in 2006 that line was really green still wasn't it? Also Klinkenborg was another one of those much-maligned Hawkeyes that was better than he was given credit for and the criticism by the fans of Humpal was totally unwarranted. He was drafted by the Steelers and injuries cut him short...

    Is Willies the X factor?

Well as far as Rbers go I guess I'd just as soon them put someone back there like Emmitt Smith who ran a 4.6 or even Alfred Morris who ran 4.64 or maybe a Shady McCoy who ran a 4.5 or even a Shonn Greene who ran a 4.55 or 4.63 depending on wether you use his pro day time or combine. But heck I'm...

Yes I agree with that, I think many times the seam is up inside. The one thing he could really improve on this vision… His vision is better than bullocks but probably not as good as Canzeris.., Canzeri on his part still needs to pick up his feet and run more physically through the hole

OFFICIAL** I can't go to the spring game and need Updates Thread.

I would suggest you get used to it... The big run by Wiseman to the goal line vs Nebraska, and then the touchdown after Canzeri got it to the goal line were both outside runs by Weisman. In fact Mark wMorshouse broke down the runs after the season lots of good zone stretch runs by Mark Just...

HawkeyeGameFilm Reviews Iowa Defense from Saturday

Uhhhh...still no......People who scheme have an idea ahead of time what’s going to happen. That’s what they game plan for…..as far as running 70% of the time, I can only assume that’s an example you are using because a routine check of the box scores would show Iowa clearly didn’t do that and in...

    Canzeri Practicing

Very intriguing if true....just when I thought things were a little more open, I see Lowery without any sort of brace or pad and hear is running like he always has, several others have been oddly absent from the picture parade only to suddenly appear mostly unscathed or so it seems…. It...

    Canzeri Practicing

I actually agree with you in theory but not necessarily because of what you said....MSU, Penn St, NW all were right with us, right below us or right above us in yards per rush....Heck tOSU was 4th in the league at 4.5 and we were 4.1...so color me very unconcerned with yards per rush..if it was...

    Canzeri Practicing

1st...I'm not much on changing uniforms, but those rock. Is that a legit picture? 2nd...assuming that is a legit picture and he is really in full regalia, running, jumping and cutting…they are trying to get him ready to play. Otherwise they’d never have him out there already. 3rd…..I...

Barkley Hill Tears ACL; Done for Year

Will obvioulsy they have right...?!?! With that said, we wouldn't know and I can't imagine there is much that can be done. Just because it keeps happening doesn't mean they haven't researched everything.

Barkley Hill Tears ACL; Done for Year

Honestly we’ve had it all at Rber…broken legs, broken collar bones, bad ankles, concussions, suspensions, grades etc….

Barkley Hill Tears ACL; Done for Year

Well at the Rber position only Georgia that I know of compares to us, but I’d wager we aren’t setting in records for ACL’s or player losses…I think I read or heard OU has lost like 5 players in just the last couple months for whatever reasons…

HawkeyeGameFilm Reviews Iowa Defense from Saturday

I don't disagree at all, but I can't say for sure we did vs NW, but we played up sometimes and I have to assume the guys who were paid to "adjust" surely were doing what they thought gave them the best chance....but yes certainly moving people around and pressing or stunting is a part of...

    Alvis, Iowa D-line seek improvement - espn.com

I think teaching is really what some of these youngsters needed. I will also say that the world is different than it used to be...yelling and pushing doesn't work anymore. In isolated instances, but not as a mantra.
