Pres. Barack Obama asked by Senator to investigate BCS!

They need to be creating jobs or our economy will never recover; health care is one of the last things we need to be worrying about. We still have some "cleaning up" to do after last years near-apocalypse.

    Into the Unknown

So, we are less than a week away from something Iowa has never done before in the decades of it's football history... go 8-0 in a single season. I am an avid believer that each game during the season bears more importance than the last, but I also believe that this game is a benchmark this...

    5 wide

How bout Wildcat fake reverse with them biting on the run than McNutt throwing it to DJK for a TD... just a thought...

    What was wrong? 2005-2007

Wasn't the season where we lost... 4(?) of our running backs? I think injuries played a big part. Lack of leadership is another culprit I think. I tend to forget that span of time to be 100% honest... it wasn't pretty.

    Parady Videos

I will try to find something funny for each team to help lighten the mood. If you have any ideas post them. Wisconsin: http://www.badgerbadgerbadger.com/ Michigan State: YouTube - Black20 Trailer Park: 300 - PG Version

    I believe we're essentially down to a one-game season....

I think that every game is important from here on out. None of these games being more important than the other. We could beat Michigan State and lose the rest (well within the realm of possibility if Stanzi gets injured). I think that we need to honestly (and it may sound like a broken record)...

    Stanzi best Hawkeye QB ever?

Point proven... that leaves 0% remaining. I agree with your statement sir.

    Wegher vs Robinson

Power backs (Robinson) is how we operate, and always have (since Freddy Russell, but he was very evasive). Robinson needs to get some more evasiveness to be effective as a quick back, but Robinson can take the first hit and keep going. Until Wegher can learn to shrug off a few tackles I think we...

    Stanzi best Hawkeye QB ever?

Being JC had only mistakes, even if you took away some... he would only have more mistakes. Stanzi has had a few bad throws (be it bad routes ran or just plan bad throws) but his ability to overcome that is what I was speaking about. And speaking of incredible accuracy... are you talking about...

I'm starting to sense a turn in national sentiment

Since when did we every really care about national sentiment anyhow? The same national media that touts Tim Tebow as the second coming of christ? A lot of those guys on the ESPNs don't do their homework, and are all graduates of "premiere" schools. This means they look at us as rednecks from the...

    Stanzi best Hawkeye QB ever?

Stanzi, skill-wise, is not better than most quarterbacks we've had, but he phenomenal at managing the game (not taking into account some of the mistakes). I think he is a great fit for our team; he symbolizes a lot of our season on the whole, lots of adversity but managing to overcome that in...

    Jonny Mullings - (Punter/Kicker)

I did notice that he almost got blocked but his blockers ran downfield for some reason. As for his punts... he had one continuous shot during them which impressed me. I do although agree he kicks a bit slow, but that is subject to coaching. He has 4 years to work on his timing... Pretty good...

    Jonny Mullings - (Punter/Kicker)

YouTube - Jonny Mullings, K/P, Class 2010, HD I thought I would put my 2 cents in about this kid. At 21 years old and going to be a freshman next season... he is a monster. He (on average) can kick off 75 yards per kickoff. He also has the ability to punt the ball where-ever he pleases. I...

One of the biggest games ever for Iowa this weekend?

I saw a post saying that Wisconsin was the biggest game... I would say all games from here on out are the "biggest" games of the season... we need to win them all.

    Most Underrated Iowa Player

I would say Tarpinian... just because of that nasty hit he had during the Michigan game. I would like to see him play a bit more... I am sure we will during either the NW game or IU game.

    BCS Breakdown

Looks like we have a real chance to be a contender if we keep on winning. I am just glad that we are ranked as high as we are this early. I'm loving those computers... but if I remember correctly we weren't so fond of them in 2002.
