Like others have said, it's the first round. There are no play-in games. Yes, it sucked that the season came to that, but it was an improvement nonetheless. The worst part for me was seeing us blow that final game, and then seeing the sweet 16 be not only a possibility but a great one at that...

My favorite was when he was laying on the ground crying after the game and Verne says "That kids a winner." Sorry but no, he's not.

So why did he not get playing time throughout the season?

I get it. I get it. All of you saying that we did this to ourselves the whole last month and a half. But tonight the refs were extremely poor.

I'll say 6-6. A lot of toss-ups on that schedule. I'd go with the OP's predictions plus a possible win against ISU (they're losing a lot) or a surprise win against MSU, Northwestern, or Wisconsin.

Yeah, they might be (probably are) the better program...but I could easily still see us finishing with a better record. I don't think it has anything to do with them not finishing the season, their schedule is just brutal. Luckily, ours is the exact opposite.
