So you're trying to tell me a potential player for Fran doesn't look at current or past players saying they love Fran and always has there back and that potential player would decide, "nah I'm good because he literally stood up for his guys"? If you follow Foster's dad on twitter, he's actually...

    The end of Fran?

Fran does Hawk Talk with Dolph every week, so let's just knip this narrative in the butt.

I have no doubt that Steve McJudkins and Fran are not even fake friends on the street, as Izzo is so good at doing it seems. That guy has been a poor referee in the B10 and his stay should be long over by now.

    The end of Fran?

Fire him and Holtmann for that matter. National TV got him cursing in a referee's ear, and that is just insane. I'm sure that's never happened.

Well they are one in the same, so both. Especially since the after game comments about backing them up came from non-son players, I would say that players view Fran in a pretty good light. Other recruits have also been on record saying that Fran's so called "outbursts" weren't a turn off to the...

Why do you think Fran was upset? Because he thought his players were getting shafted by the refs. He didn't call him a cheater or disgrace for nothing? He was obviously mad about something. I don't think Tyler Cook, Peter Jok, etc. would tweet or say things like "That's why we like him as a...

Yeah if I was a recruit, why would I want my coach to have my back and stick up for my well-being? That sounds INSANE to me.

I mean being called a cheater or disgrace for my performances is quite a bit less offending than being called a monkey because of my color. DON'T GET ME WRONG I disagree with Dolph's suspension, but thinking about what you're comparing one is more offensive than the other in my mind.

    Fran’s alleged meltdown

I would be willing to bet that not another referee calls either of those techs (maybe Connor's) if they aren't named Steve McJudkins.

    Fran’s alleged meltdown

I've seen waving hands at the ref not get called more times than I've seen it get called, but I mean it is what it is. I'll be the first to say, referees didn't cost us the game, but I'll also be the first to defend Fran until I think he has legit stepped out of line. Last night was not that...

    Fran’s alleged meltdown

I didn't mind Fran's tech tbh, he was sticking up for his players, especially when Connor got elbowed to the head (it was an original foul on Connor, but the elbow to the face should have at least been reviewed if nothing else. Connor's tech was too easy for him to get IMO. Talked to a reporter...

    Fran’s alleged meltdown

I obviously wasn't talking about the total fouls called....1 referee shouldn't be calling 8/11 fouls in the first place, but looks extra suspicious that 3/4 of his calls were against Iowa.

    Fran’s alleged meltdown

"Chasing down"....that's laughable, inserting words to make Fran and the situation worse than was originally reported. Saying expletive words has never and will never be grounds for suspension, especially terminations, and calling someone a cheater I'm sure is a lot more normal than we would...

    N. Baer - Is he the B1G 6th Man of the Year?

Pretty sure Livers has been starting at least half of the season. Teske I believe is there 6th man now.

How will Pat McCaffery compare to Wieskamp?

Great post Rob, this just tells me that they're going in with an open mind for PMac. If he can bulk up to an appropriate weight (appropriate according to Fran not us on this board), then he will play. Also liked the way Fran talked about how yes he's my kid, but that doesn't mean really anything...

How will Pat McCaffery compare to Wieskamp?

I only said that not as a knock to Joe, because I think he's plenty athletic enough, but a positive on how athletic I think Patrick actually is. He was dunking in the 8th grade I think. There are some baseline drives that look very juicy for a highlight dunk that I could see Pat throwing where...

How will Pat McCaffery compare to Wieskamp?

If I was to project my desired rotation for next year.... I would say Cook leaves for some kind of pro deal (Europe, G League, etc.), Dailey transfers to a school he can feature on similar to Ellingson to Drake type deal (pending on if he can grad transfer or not), and PMac redshirts. PG-JBo...

How will Pat McCaffery compare to Wieskamp?

I would push back on that last sentence. Pat is long and skilled, but definitely based on athletic ability Pat is probably more athletic than Joe is, but you're right Joe is a better shooter. Pat can throw it down and block shots with his length and athletic ability. Will probably play the 3/4...

The Iowa Players See You Leaving Carver Early

The number I heard of people actually leaving was like half of the crowd. I'm sure that's pretty noticeable to anyone (players, coaches, etc.). That was said by reporters themselves. They weren't tanking either. They had a bad game, it's basketball. But good teams find a way to win these kind of...

The Iowa Players See You Leaving Carver Early

It's not a bad thing either in this situation. I highly doubt, and would almost bet a lot of money in saying that because Tyler Cook said this, isn't going to deter someone from going or not going to a game this season. If it makes them stay a little longer, I would say it's a good thing.
