Valid points but if I'm not mistaken Coker was also 19 years old last season. Young was 20 in his second year and Greene was I think 23 in 2008. For a 19 year old true sophomore... pretty darn good.

Greene obviously is the cream in this topic but he also had one of the two if not even the best offensive line in the Ferentz era. Not to mention Moeaki and Myers for tight ends. Not to mention he was young for a sophomore. No, Coker isn't sliced bread but he was pretty darn good considering...

Hopefully Meier does surprise us all. It wouldn't be a complete surprise if he did do well. Coker didn't exactly have top end speed and he flourished at Iowa.

This is a great start for the Hawks. I'm liking the news about the fresh energy in the spring drills. Hopefully they can keep it going strong and continue the good start to recruiting.

Agreed. I want to see different styles and see how other teams are forced to change things from game to game. Watching the same stuff over and over again would become very boring.

Iowa has a great reputation for not pulling schollies period. Every time I hear about Saban and his propensity to do so if he finds another prized recruit I want to barf.

Making Iowa look bad when they (ESecPN) can has been high priority I think. Just think back to the Pat Forde article about how Ferentz doesn't care about his players and how he's sitting in parents living rooms lying and blah blah blah ba blah....

They've had pretty damn good recruiting over the last few years when it comes to DL. Honestly, name a program who has had all starting four lineman drafted in a two year period that isn't named Alabama, Ohio State, or another of similar stature. Yeah, I'm disappointed with the last few years...
