HOF removes 60% win threshold for HCs

Surprised the article does not mention KF as he is right near that line and is the most tenured coach in college football.

With this change, I think KF is now a shoe in for the HOF when he hangs them up.

I like this move. He really does deserve to be in and depending on how he wraps up his career he may or may not be above the old 60% threshold. It would have penalized him for taking over a roster with little talent to start out with. And, coaching in a place like Maine.
Agreed. HOF voters are capable of looking at nuance and a body of work to determine if a coach is worthy of HOF without an artificial percentage.

I also think HOF voters can and should take into account where a coach got his wins and losses. 60% win percentage at Iowa, especially with the first 2 year rebuild, is respectable. But a guy like Brian Kelly, coaching at Notre Dame and LSU, better be more like 80%.
Same. Kirk takes the Michigan job in 2010, or whatever it was? .600 is probably fair. But with what he's done here, it shouldn't be a discussion.
