How good would the Hawks be if St John, Carew, and Gramball had not had problems.

I have read on message boards that Hill lacks speed. If I remember correctly he ran on at least one relay team that won state.

I can not believe how many posters disagree on who is a good defender and who is not. I don't know so I trust the coaches to decide.

I know things did not work out with Lick at Iowa. He looked like a good hire at the time. He was national coach of the year, and I believe he came within 2 points of the NCAA champs. In my opinion his biggest problem at Iowa was players leaving.

How many of the players who transferred in the KF era had great careers? The only one I can think of is Bennie Sapp.

Matt is a hero to me because he stayed home instead of going out of state like so many players. I know it is a players right to go elsewhere, but I do not root for them.

Anyone hear remember Ralph? He hated turnovers and often he would bench a player for a turnover. Maybe Fran needs to do that. Marble never learned that he needed to protect the ball when he drove.

Other than Byers not enrolling, why are we so thin at theses weights? We seem to have depth at the lower weights. Did we have guys leave or was it a recruiting problem.

MY friends and I were talking about who the best Iowa coaches were. We all agreed #1 Bucky O'Conner, #2 Ralph Miller, #3 Lute Olsen, and # 4 Tom Davis. I believe we had some good teams in the early to mid 40's. I can not remember the coaches name.

I know a lot of people have Gesell starting at the point next year. Is there any chance Cleamons beats him out?
