DL "too good to be true"

I think the secondary will be good, if TJ Hall holds up, and the #2 corner is solid. I get it…that is a big if. Nwankpa moving from strong safety to free is huge. Lutmer and Entringer are going to be straight up ballers…so it really comes down to those 2 corner spots.

    5-Star Recruit

WITHOUT DOING THE HOMEWORK…I would assume that all 15 seasons of Fran, that they were top 30 in offensive efficiency(points per possession). Now you can see BM teams in that 40-80 range, from an offensive efficiency standpoint, able to grind teams out. Fran was never able to crack the code on...

    College Football Playoff

They have to solve this West Coast thing. The game at USC feels like an ambush, no matter if Lincoln Riley is on life support or not.

    Coach Barnwell Mic'd Up

Offensive efficiency I have listened to several BM interviews at this point, and every interview, he talks about offensive efficiency. That will be the key to everything. If he comes close to what we saw under Fran from an offensive efficiency standpoint…we are going to see some special...

    Gronowski

I will be the bad guy here. I think JVB’s 2011 season is overrated. He piled up a bunch of stats in about 5 games, and the other 7, he wasn’t good. Was he the fall guy in 2012 for GD? Absolutely, and he deserves credit for that. That said, even if KOK had returned in 2012, he wasn’t good...

First step in moving fans closer to the court

What happened to the Hawks’ nest? Did the vitriol for Alford just kill it?

    Ben and the Recruiting

I am expecting a typical Iowa year…middle-of-the pack in conference play, and a 8 or 9 seed in the tournament. I will consider that a win in Ben’s first year.

    Luka to Celtics

George Niang Luka Garza This is basically the Celtics backup front court. Funny, one is a Hawk, the other is a Clone, and neither one are much of a defender. Niang is better in the NBA than he was in college, but he still isn’t good. Garza will never be a good defender. Both will have...

Iowa assistants pleased with summer basketball workouts

Yeah, that Richmond team was bad. You get the excuses about Keegan’s ankle injury, and all the 12 seeds upsetting the 5 seeds in the past, and you still roll your eyes. It is inexcusable that Pmac was the only one that had any juice after the BIG Tournament.

Iowa assistants pleased with summer basketball workouts

The 1st paragraph of my post was tongue-in-cheek. Conner is/was clearly upset that his father was fired, and I was clowning around with his deleted tweets. I get your point, tho. A Fran team wants to play with tempo/pace and grinding games out in the 60(s) wasn’t going to happen. Now we are...

Iowa assistants pleased with summer basketball workouts

Lol, is that an indictment on Fran? Maybe we should let Conner know why his Dad was let go.:) In all seriousness…I am excited what potentially the BM era could be.

Cooper DeJean & coach Ben McCullum

Holy shit, coach still has a handle. For a 45 year old, that was impressive.

PFF College returning B1G QB ratings

Yeah, I had similar thoughts. Granted I am not watching a ton of Rutgers games, but the few I did watch I didn’t see it.

PFF College returning B1G QB ratings

Not a big Drew Allar guy, and I was saying this even before the shit throw late in the Notre Dame game. Luke Altmyer might be the only “lock” on the OP’s list. Illinois could be a sneaky 10-2 team this year. Nico I has the highest ceiling, if he puts it together, he is a top 5 NFL draft pick...

    Hungry?

I’m in agreement with Fry, other than maybe a high end steak joint. I’m not living a baller lifestyle, so I am not covering the entire tab, but a round of drinks, and paying for my meal…I will spend a little bit of coin for that. Odds of me being in a Ruth‘s Chis or something better, no pun...
