Certainly a nice couple of surprising outcomes especially in the sense they weren't flukey...ISU flat out played better than both Xavier and Memphis. Now I think both those teams are overrated and ISU is probably closer to a 500 team but who knows...defense and toughness can carry you.

It says Covid is a messed up year, ISU's special teams was horrible, and teams are allowed to change/grow. Look at Iowa a few years back. They needed to block an FSC teams' field goal not once but twice to barely squeak by then went on a roll and rattled off a huge season.

I don't idolize Pollard, but it's obvious the recognition he deserves and the positive changes that have happened to ISU athletics since he's arrived. I had a meeting once with ISU's previous AD and he was so aloof and had the most horrible personality. Very thankful he's still not around.

Sorry ISU isn't a blueblood? Haha not sure what else to tell you. The team lost a ton of firepower from last year and has some new pieces to gel together so I'm just gonna sit back and enjoy the ride.

Sounds like ISU struggles to shoot the 3 and defend really good scorers. I suspect they will lose some early on and hopefully gel as the season goes. My expectations are a bubble team this year but will need some help to get in the tournament. Missing a stretch 4.
