Has There Ever Been A More Epic Collapse...

And it couldn't have happened to a more deserving program. PSU and their fan base, as well as the Nebraska's of the world, absolutely deserve something like this.

    Who was the assistant coach

So many little plays this weekend that simply added up to kill us. The missed facemask, the hit on Wetjen when he was out of bounds and the play was dead, their interception on a ball that was inches from hitting the ground and somehow deflects into the hands of a defender yards away, the...

Will Iowa ever have a QB that can throw

I don't honestly mind Gronowski as I think he's definitely an improvement. I also totally understand the situation were in with recruiting receivers as were a run first offense trying to reestablish a passing game, but watching Oregon and USC the last couple weeks has made me realize how far...

    Luke Brewer

Good stuff. Always hard to get a really good feeling about these guys when it looks like they're opponents are undersized and not as talented. That said he's a good teammate. He supports his guys and encourages them and that's an attribute that goes a long way.

Would love to see USC look past us anticipating the Oregon matchup next weekend.

    MSU vacates 2024 wins

Good point. As you said the only ones really being punished are the kids that didn't do anything as you had pointed out. I just have issue with punishments in general when they let the Michigan's of the world get off with nothing but a slap on the hand, while they wait for the next no name...

The Lil Richards play on FS1 tonight at 730

I don't know I get more a Frodo vibe. He reminds me of a hobit.

    MSU vacates 2024 wins

What exactly does vacated wins do to punish a program? I don't think it would affect a coaches ability to manipulate the situation to where its not much of a factor from a current recruiting standpoint. And it's not like those wins magically end up with their opponents and change anything. It...

    Weather Saturday

I saw something on TikTok, so take it for what its worth, but it said we had something like a 21% chance if we win out to make the playoffs so we'd definitely need some help along the way. That said I have no idea where those numbers came from so very easily could have been pulled directly out...

    Iowa's 2-pt conversion woes.

I hear you, but that's the confusing part to me. How do we function well offensively when the field shrinks in the redzone specifically around the goal line but struggle so much on conversions. Surely we'd know what our best plays were from the three yard line. I get there's extra pressure...

    Iowa's 2-pt conversion woes.

I get the difference between a regular redzone play and a conversion but when working on your goal line or those redzone plays where you're specifically around the goal line I don't think there'd be much difference. I'd think a coach would intentionally run plays that they'd use for a 2 pt...

    Indiana and Oregon

I think that talent disparity comes into play depending on how you look at things. Melrose commented that we're showing we can compete with anyone with 10 points being the difference in those 3 losses two of which to top 10 teams and a rival on the road early in the season. I totally agree...

    Iowa's 2-pt conversion woes.

Would practicing specific 2 point conversion plays make a difference? Not being dumb, but as someone who didn't play football I'd assume a team would spend a ton of time working on redzone and goal line/short yardage plays. What would be the difference/benefit of focusing specifically on 2...

    Glorious morning

I think this game will say a lot as to where we are as a program. Our offense is showing signs of improvement, our defense is still getting it done, and we've looked good in two losses against two very solid top 10 teams despite just coming up short. I think winning a game on the west coast...

    Indiana and Oregon

Any team with the exception of maybe Nebby coming back to beat PSU and I'm a happy guy. Those are two programs that I will never get tired of seeing lose.
