The ultimate problem is that the offense average points scored wasn't much higher...get teh offense to 28-30 pts/gm and the defense looks spectacular. Instead they are on the field too much draggin a$$ at the end of games trying to protect a 2-3 pt lead. I like to compare it to the Vikings...

Amazing fact?! They stated on ESPN yesterday that Harrison is the first Freshman college basketball player to be named Pre-season All-American....how crazy is that?! A kid from Iowa is the first.....and never once did he want to be a Hawkeye. Amazing what 10-15 years can do to a program.

C'mon....just like the Patriots cut him b/c him and Brady got into a fight and Moss told him to cut his hair. What people need to be talking about is how can a coach make this decision without consulting the owner....how is that an option? Who does Childress think he is?!

Curious how schools like USC avoid this problem?! Maybe USC isn't the best example right now with everything going on....but on any given Saturday they have to have a dozen celebritiy type people on the sideline....do you tell your recruits to keep their heads down when walking past them...

Not to nitpick, but if the average commercial break in 2 minutes, that would be 4 commercial spots....making the number more like $400k. It starts to be easy to see why ESPN/ABC et. all pay the billions they do for college/pro sports to be played on their stations.

I just was in Vegas this past weekend and would recommend Legasse's Stadium in the Palazzo....I was lucky there was a group of Iowa guys from Phoenix having a bachelor party in a luxury suite and was able to watch the game in there with them....but even if you don't get in there the place/food...

I'm glad someone posted about this kid....I was in Arkansas last week for work and the sports talk radio people could not stop talking about him as he was in town for a visit there as well...don't know much about him, but tall and athletic sounds like it could fit into our "new system". Not to...

If I am a NBA team owner, why wouldn't you let this guy be the GM of your team?!?!? Who knows/cares more about the NBA than him? Seriously, if you are Minnesota, why not give him a shot....your team freakin blows!! Could he make it any worse?

I think that it will be interesting to see how he does....I know there are a lot of Iowa fans that would have liked to see him as the Iowa coach.
