The ultimate problem is that the offense average points scored wasn't much higher...get teh offense to 28-30 pts/gm and the defense looks spectacular. Instead they are on the field too much draggin a$$ at the end of games trying to protect a 2-3 pt lead. I like to compare it to the Vikings...

Amazing fact?! They stated on ESPN yesterday that Harrison is the first Freshman college basketball player to be named Pre-season All-American....how crazy is that?! A kid from Iowa is the first.....and never once did he want to be a Hawkeye. Amazing what 10-15 years can do to a program.

Curious how schools like USC avoid this problem?! Maybe USC isn't the best example right now with everything going on....but on any given Saturday they have to have a dozen celebritiy type people on the sideline....do you tell your recruits to keep their heads down when walking past them...

Not to nitpick, but if the average commercial break in 2 minutes, that would be 4 commercial spots....making the number more like $400k. It starts to be easy to see why ESPN/ABC et. all pay the billions they do for college/pro sports to be played on their stations.

I just was in Vegas this past weekend and would recommend Legasse's Stadium in the Palazzo....I was lucky there was a group of Iowa guys from Phoenix having a bachelor party in a luxury suite and was able to watch the game in there with them....but even if you don't get in there the place/food...

Yes I do...Iowa has 2.5M people living in the entire state...and every school you listed has a city that size and can bring 3-4X the endorsement revenue that Iowa can. Of course that is just economics 101...not anything to do with who I think is a logical option for coach. This wasn't me...
