Hogue's JUCO coach released an offer list that included Iowa, but I never saw any real evidence that Iowa was recruiting him that seriously. The offer list seemed to be a fabrication designed to spur more interest in Hogue.
This is a big deal. Rivals has him at #105 in the 2014 class, but he likely will be improving on that ranking after the great season he has had. Here is an article on him.
Is Tyler Ulis the next Buckner, Thomas, Puckett? | CSN Chicago
I stopped reading after "concerns about his ability to evaluate talent". When it's obvious someone has put zero thought into their post, there's no point in reading any more.
I think a reasonable expectation would be something along the lines of:
Tyler Ulis
Darrell Davis
Malek Harris
...and then throw in Johnny Woodard if a scholarship opens up.
Marcus Bartley, 6-4 PG in the 2014 class from Decatur, Ill. No Iowa offer yet, but he has been to Iowa City a few times and Iowa has been to see him play.
Tyler Ulis can now be added to the list of potential Hawkeyes. He has an Iowa offer and is apparently looking to visit Iowa City. He is a 5-8 PG and is ranked as the #5 junior in Illinois. He has been called the best PG in Illinois for any class. His only high major offer is Depaul (if Depaul...
Based on the names that are popping up in recruiting, I'm not sure the staff sees a true big as a priority in the 2014 class at this point. That could mean there isn't a spot for Bonifas right now.
I would love to see a class of:
1. Bartley
2. Collier
3. Harris/Cunningham
Some of the players who have visited Iowa City that the Hawkeyes would seem to have a shot at:
Dominique Collier - PG
Marcus Bartley - PG
Darreon Reddick - SG
Peyton Allen - SG
Darius Austin - SF
Milik Yarbrough - SF
Paul Turner - SF
Malek Harris - F
Josh Cunningham - F
Seth Bonifas - PF
