K State looked bad, ISU got better as the game went on. Becht can throw the ball and our DBs are suspect. Their D looked decent as well, athletic linebackers.
If we can run against them, it'll be a game. If not, we're toast.
I trust Phil, just not sure we have the talent at the position. Love to be proven wrong. We'll know in week 2 , ISU will throw against 'em. Indiana in week 4 will show if they've grown. If not, could be a long season.
Ball control is nice, if you score too. So, is there a general assumption that defenses tire before offenses? That would seem to be the underlying logic. I've always thought reducing the number of possessions was a we're not as good so we have to keep the score down to have a shot admission.
Always thought Stanley was underappreciated. He had a bad game against Penn St and that seemed to shadow him. The guy made a lot of plays, won 3 bowls, 2nd all time in passing yards, 2nd in TDs. Not too shabby.
Hard to believe. Maybe he just lost interest. I recall a stat (all beit an old one) that if you were 7ft tall in the US you had a 1 in 3 chance of playing in the NBA.
