From article:

• The Hawkeyes have played 10 players or more in each of the first seven games.
• Aaron White is attacking the rim averaging a team-best 8.1 free-throw attempts per game. He is averaging 6.1 free-throw makes per outing.
• The Hawkeyes have attempted 20 or more free throws in six of their seven games. Iowa has attempted 23 free throws twice (Central Michigan and Howard) and 25 twice (Gardner-Webb and UTPA).
• Iowa has made (129) more free throws than its opponents have attempted (130), which is a staple of Fran McCaffery-coached teams.
• Roy Devyn Marble scored 15 of his season-high 22 points in the first half against Howard. It marked the third time in his career the junior reached the 20-point plateau.
• Aaron White netted 21 points at Virginia Tech, marking the third time in his career the sophomore reached the 20-point plateau.
• Iowa has exactly 96 assists and 96 turnovers through seven games.
• Iowa blocked 10 shots vs. UT-Pan American in its season opener, the most by an Iowa team since Nov. 14, 2005 (Md.-Eastern Shore).

This stat has been pretty impressive:

BLOCK PARTY
Last season, Iowa amassed 199 blocks in 35 games (3.4 per game). So far this season, the Hawkeyes have been credited with 42 rejections (6.0 per contest). Melsahn Basabe leads the team with 14 blocked shots, while freshman center Adam Woodbury has 10.

I'm glad to see we have guys that can block shots, but serious question - based on our defense clearly still having some work to do, are our opponents getting into the paint too easily, thus leading to more opportunities for blocks by our bigs?

That needs to be cut down.

At 7 foot 1, I would think you would accidently get in the way at least 9 times... so I must say Woody is a dissapointment in this regard. Withey is about that tall and has 37.

Josh o, Olaseni, Basabe, Clemmons, Ingram.... Uh who has really been that big of a problem ? Eric May? Ingram hasn't shown much but he can be an improvement on defense. And showed a really nice move attacking the rim last game, just didn't finish against good defense.

May and Gabe need to see their time on the court cut drastically.
