Big Ten is better and deeper than expected

We all know top of league is loaded but Northwestern and Illinois won preseason tournaments. Gophers are legit as well. Purdue has struggled and PSU lost Frazier for year is killer.

My power rankings SO FAR would be:

1) Indiana
2) Michigan
3) Illinois
4) OSU
5) MSU
6) Northwestern
7) Minnesota
8) Wisconsin
9) Iowa
10) Purdue
11) Nebraska
12) Penn State

This is based on what teams have done so far and how they have played.

Big Ten is going to be a grind this season. Iowa has been unimpressive (where's the uptempo game?) so far and if they can't get tough on inside and score points it's going to be a rough season. Penn State is done without Frazier.

EDITED Nebraska. They just lost to MAC team.

Illinois had a joke of a path to winning Maui, a terrible USC team, a D-II school and an average Butler team. Also Nebraska is losing by double digits to Kent St at home tonight.
 






They are loaded on talent level. Nearly every national CBB analyst has said this, it was whether or not could coach them. Groce has proven he is the guy so far. Even Miller stated they are a "sleeping giant"
 




I said it was how teams have done and looked so far. Good grief.

Obviously not how things will end up but 1/2 way through some teams' non-con schedule this is how I see things so far. Most preseason BB I've watched in years because I am excited that Iowa is actually finally a part of national landscape. Right now they haven't played like it but long ways to go.
 


We know what you intended to do in this thread Ryno. Your motives and intentions were never in doubt.

That being said, this thread is still an embarrassing failure.

Hopium lives! We are all excited we stole a guy from NC. NC loses to Butler who also beats Marquette and Butler is an average team. Maybe stealing Adam wasn't such a big thing choosing not to go to such a weak team that can't beat an average Butler team.
 




It may be better and deeper than we expected... Still thinking Iowa will finish in the to half, no lower than 6th and get an NCAA invite.

That may be true, but they still won...saying it is a joke path is like saying Iowa had an easy path to win the Cancun tournament...oh wait, they lost...that is the difference. Is WSU better than Butler, probably not, Butler looked terrible against Xavier, but played really well in Maui, don't think that was a joke they won.

Weber left a little more talent than what people thought, he just didn't use them the way Groce will.

Also, the BIG is what I expected it to be and what I thought it would be.
