The B1G re-alignment dominates the front page of nj.com, the Web site run by the state's leading newspapers, including the Star-Ledger of Newark. The Rutgers boards have just approved; announcement to come Tuesday.

Rutgers’ decision to join the Big Ten will cap a tumultuous 14-month period in which four other schools defected from the Big East, leaving the conference of which the Scarlet Knights have been a member in flux.

Hoops Haven's Jerry Carino reports that should Rutgers leave for the Big Ten, the basketball rivalry between RU and Seton Hall will continue.

I like Rutger's reaction to this move. They seem like a school and community that will wear the Big 10 badge proudly.
