Mr. Davis's first year, we were undefeated playing at Illinois and were behind by 17 in the second half and came back to win. Illinois was in the top five along with the Hawks and Indiana and another Big team......
I believe that comeback last night was huge for the team's confidence. We grew up last night.....

It was another step for this program. Gardner-Webb was a great test with all the types of defense they played. Was tough to get going in the first half. We were able to regroup and take them out of their element in the second. Excellent win, and it felt great to walk out of Carver after witnessing it.

Iowa was down 22 with 15:52 or so to play in that game.

I love how that Fran didn't even had to yell at halftime and the Hawks understood what needed to be done.
That tells me a lot right there about the heart of this team. They knew they were better than they were playing and turned it around without Fran having to explode.

What was the deficit against GW in the NCAA tournament? Nevermind, just looked, Iowa trailed 73-56 with 8 minutes to go and won by 2.

It may not be the biggest come back in total points, but Iowa's win at MSU in 1993 was amazing. Playing their first game after the death of Chris Street, on the road, and down 15 with 3 minutes to play. To get the win in overtime while playing under those emotional conditions was nothing short of remarkable.
