But I haven't really noticed it myself. I know I'm excited and people on here are excited but I haven't really heard any talk about it around town or on the radio or TV. I've read the few articles on ESPN and CBSsports but I don't get this talk about the buzz around program. I'm excited and glad that there is this perception but I just haven't heard much about the team. I've heard more about our football team sucking than our basketball team getting buzz.

I was excited last year and then we lost games to UNI and Campbell among others. I am cautiously optimistic this year. We clearly have a better team, but I will feel much more confident if we can get through non-conference play with only one or two losses. It seems very reasonable based on the schedule, but hey, I thought our football team would make a bowl game this season mainly due to their schedule, and we all know how that worked out.

Our hype isn't anywhere near what people think it is. National media is in love with Aaron White and they're familiar with Marble and Basabe's potential. Throw in the two super-freshmen and they have us in the tourney. Nobody's throwing around reckless predictions like challenging Indiana, MSU, OSU and Michigan for the regular season conference title. We know what we are and so does the media: Young, improving, high-octane team that will likely finish 5th or 6th in the best conference in the country en route to a NCAA Tournament bid. That's the buzz, and since it's November we can finally put it on the floor. Either way, we're no secret.
