While I admit to being childish, I have a great and full-filling life. That being said, I wasn't trolling. Frances doesn't give straight answers. While Kurt gives bland coach speak that doesn't tell us anything, Frank gives us hyperbole-ridden coa ch speak that doesn't tell us anything. However, for a fan listening, one sounds much better than the other.

I just don't buy it.

You need to realize Ghost is just a contrarian. He says the opposite of what most people think whether he really believes it or not. Fran's obviously a very good interview, so he says he isn't. Someone says Iowa can make the NCAA going .500 in the B10, Ghost says they will need to win 13..nay 14 B10 games to get in. Someone says Iowa will make the tournament if they go 10-8 in the B10, Ghost claims plenty of B10 teams have won 10 conference games and not made the tournament. See he's so contrarian, facts have no place in his world.

You do realize that I owned and apologized for those awful, terrible, unforgivable mistakes you cited?

I have no interest in being a contrarian. Why would I? I can assure you that everything I say, I believe 100%, but I'm not one of those guys who refuses to budge or change.

When I say that Fran is usually full of crap, I believe it 100%. When he says things liek Basabe can average a double-double last year, or Oglesby is the best shooter he's ever seen, or RDM could leave early for the NBA, it only solidifies my point of view.
 


I can't wait for those funny faces he makes. I'd be so embarrassed if I was related to him. Better emotion tho than zero emotion.

I truly believe that you believe 100% the things you write on the board, but I don't think thats other peoples fault. I truly believe 100% that you are full of crap. You might be full of other things too, but so is everyone else. Its pretty obvious you get off by whatever you get out of coming on these boards. I suppose everyone else does, but in their own ways. Anyway, your probably some fifteen year old kid that likes to call people on the phone they don't know and hang up on them.

Yes, but why did you make those mistakes? Because you're in such a rush to make a contrarian post that you don't have time to think. Just stick to posting your usual "we're back" in every thread and save yourself some embarrassment.

I remember both incidents very clearly. In the first instance, when I said they needed 14 wins, I was being a complete idiot, because I forgot how many conference games they played. I think I thought it was like 25 or something. Whatever it was, I can assure you this one was on account of stupidity, not contrarianism.

The second incident, I was erroneously citing a previous thread that I thought listed an past Iowa team as having 10 conference wins and missing the tournament. Afterwards, I learned that number was 9 (or was it 8?) wins in the past. This one was on account of confusion (or possibly stupidity again).

And while I may be on the other side of the majority in saying that I do not liek Fran's hyperbole, I do not think it is contrarian to say Iowa won't make the tournament this year.

As you can tell, what he just said was not dripping in hyperbole. In fact, it was as bland and meaningless as Kurt on Dramamine.

I am getting the impression that some people think I don't like Fran. That is not the case. In fact, I was the guy cheering on Fran when guys like Spank were calling for Barta to be fired for hiring the guy. I just happen to not believe, unlike most, that Fran has a refreshing honesty you don't see in most coaches.

Yes being related to Iowa's head basketball coach would suck. Think of all the awesome christmas presents, front-row seats, autographs and cool stories you could tell. that would be sew embarassing!

+1. I've always thought that since his interviews are always so good, he must also talk a good game when recruiting as well. I love it.
