If O'Brien can get through the next 4 years, he'll make PSU a monster

Their team looked extremely well coached. Attacking all the time. Using forth down efficiently. Using the TE like crazy, creating all sorts of mismatches all over the field. So many offensive options, even with a pretty unathletic QB.

Agreed.....O'Brien deserves a ton of props for not only having the gnads to take that job but for putting that current product on the field. Good for him!

Explain why he won't? It's still Penn State. I think kids are still going to want to go their!

Exactly. They are still the dominant by far team in the Northeast, with big population states all around. JoePa has probably been holding them back for years, and I think they have a really good one with Obrien.

Agree. Felt like I was watching the New England Patriots versus the Hawks. Amazing what O'Brien has already accomplished especially when so many fair weathered fans expected his team to totally collapse this year.

Blowing out the 2012 Iowa Hawkeyes is not exactly an indicator of future domination.

What a slime ball. Up big and still trying to convert 4 downs with starting O out there.

Going for it in FG range has nothing to do with being a slime ball and running up the score. It has everything to do with rolling the dice because he has a kicker who has only made 4 FG's this year because his starting kicker to be this year transferred to Texas on August 2nd.

For those hat are mad at our coaches, aren't you glad you aren't PSU? JoPa might have held them back from several national championships given the player theys had on the field yesterday.

I don't think there's ever been any doubt that JoePa post 2000 was holding that program back, having him and his son on the staff was just a waste of two coaching spots.

I've watched good portions of every Penn State game this year. After their 0-2 start they have gotten better each week. In Big Ten play, I think they are executing their scheme better than any team in the league and it's not even close. He creates mismatches in the passing game all over the field, especially with his tight ends. You have to tip your cap and respect just how pretty that scheme looks. Right now he's the runaway pick for B1G coach of the year

It was tough to watch yesterday, but PSU is the best team in the B1G at the moment. They played like a topt 10-15 team yesterday. Easily.
