Iowa offensive line coach Brian Ferentz, who played for his father during his Hawkeyes career and is now watching younger brothers James and Steven do the same thing, took it a step further. He said “It’s never a bad thing to be a coach’s son.â€￾

“I don’t know that there are any negatives,â€￾ agreed punter and reserve quarterback John Wienke, who played for his father at Tuscola (Ill.) High School. “I loved it, personally. I had four siblings and we definitely were the gym rats. Plus, we got all the old equipment to play with. I loved it.â€￾
 












All of the coaches kids in high school got to use the gym/weight room when ever they wanted to.
