Took a peek at this and was surprised to see the pick:

October 13, Iowa at Michigan State. Here comes the second hiccup of the season. After winning three straight games, the Iowa Hawkeyes score a big win in East Lansing on homecoming weekend, knocking off the Spartans with a physical defensive effort, and getting revenge for last season’s double digit loss. Maxwell will be bottled up by the Hawkeyes and Kirk Ferentz, who’s defense is always well coached. Expect this to be a low scoring affair, but Iowa does enough in the end to pull out a road victory. Verdict: Spartan Defeat (5-2)

I get why people are in love with MSU's defense but their offense could really struggle with only 4 returning players and a new QB. That is why I think Michigan and Nebraska will finish ahead of them.

And that is why I think we upset them. JVB has already played against this defense. They are going to blitz like crazy just like last year. I think the quick, short pass game GD is implementing may be the answer to mitigate the assault this time. We are loaded at TE and I expect to see Rogers in the backfield for protection. I think TOP will favor the Hawkeyes even if we don't score often. This will pay off late because when they start to wear down we will score quickly down the stretch.

Our secondary looks poised to take advantage of a first year starter at QB if they try to go through the air. Sparty has depth at RB in Bell, Caper and Calhoun and they are going to try and run over us. The real question is can an 8 man defensive line rotation stop a 3 man RB rotation? The DL will wear down late but Sparty won't be able to score as quickly as the Hawks. They will turn it over by trying to catch up or by putting us away late and the Hawkeyes will win a close one by a score.

The Kool-Aid is great this time of the year. I think MSU will be the one we win that "we shouldn't". I think we loose the one "we should win" to Purdue.

Well, if he's right, we'll be in the mix for the division title.

I, for one, expect a loss in Spartan Stadium this year...

I think Wisconsin is overrated as well this year . They only return 10 players and lost their kicker and punter. Granted one of the returning players is Ball but that is a lot of turnover.
