no huddle

How much no-huddle do you guys think we'll run this year? 20% of the time or 40% of the time or what?

I'd rather they NOT tell us if for no other reason then the other team won't have a clue either. Until we see a game or 2 it'll be hard to guess. Probably will be a matchup thing and game to game type of thing more so than as a new philosophy they'll be trying to become.

I'm thinking we're gonna be running more of it than we're used to. Based on my observation of both the spring game, and some closed spring practices.

If I get a chance, I'm going to try to make some fall camp practices, but i doubt this will happen.

My observation is very unprofessional. Admittedly so.

4.25% of all O plays with 80% coming in preseason and 60% of that coming in one game. Games 9-12 will account for 1.75% So......, your whistle will be whet the first 1/2 of the year and will be well dry the last 1/2

Why ya gotta say stuff like this? You're hurting me here.

We practice the no-huddle offense a third of our practice. That's significant. I would say we use it every game, for sure. But how much will depend on the defenses we play. And our running game.

im guessing we see it more than we have but not a large amount. we will probably see it when we feel that the defense is struggling and tired and/or we dont want them to substitute out of the personnel they have. not to mention i think if we get a big turnover or return we may do it to really put the boot on a team's throat. these are the types of things we have been missing against teams like minny and indy and nw to really kick them when we have them down. i dont expect it much against better teams unless our backs are against the wall.

remember the no-huddle and the hurry up are not always 1 in the same. some teams huddle and go quite fast and some teams never huddle and use the majority of the clock.

It will just depend on the flow of the game. If our defense can't make stops it may be hard to speed up the offense and then put the defense back on the field. I am anxious to see how Davis manages the game. One thing I do think we will see is a lot of quick-hit passes.
