I think it will hurt more than help. Now he has a chance to earn a spot as a starter in his first year at the school he committed to.

From an Iowa fan standpoint,this is a good thing. Redd shredded our defense last year,and now we do not have to deal with him in Kinnick this fall. PSU is going to be playing with a mission this fall,and will have a full roster,so this will not a be an easy victory. It is a huge game for the Hawks in the big picture,and has become a must-win game....and now it became a little easier. Our d-line needs all the help it can get.

True, but it also gives an edge to our divisional foes that play them, so it's pretty much a wash, I'd say.
