NORTH LIBERTY, Iowa | When evaluating Mike Gesell, who is likely Iowa's next point guard, Randy Larson doesn’t mince words.

“Gesell is the Hawkeyes’ best player,†the Prime Time League commissioner said.

“Not only Iowa’s best starter, but the best player on the team -- period.â€


EDIT: hope title is a bit better.

“He’s a coach’s dream ,†said Larson, who coached against Gesell twice. That's right -- in addition to being the commissioner, Larson also coaches Vinton Merchants/Mike Gatens Real Estate," one of the four PTL teams.

That's Randy Larson. Not the sharpest tool in the shed. The guy has had the worst draft picks in PTL history. He had Cougill #1. D'oh!
But fun league for us Hawkeyes. It definitely needs a new leader so it doesn't die out, but that is obvious... Doubt he gives up talking in the microphone tho.
