Since so many people want the playoffs....fine....I hope they go with my new proposal....119 teams...no regular season....we seed you in july based on last years top 25....play a full tournament crown the champion in January. High school basketball allows EVERYONE a shot...so why not college football?

You lose you are done...the teams that lose early wouldn't get a rest of the season...tough luck....they shouldn't have lost.
 




let me add to this, around Thanksgiving the bowls get to pick teams that have been eliminated.

The best of both worlds!!!!

YES!!! Not to mention all the toilet bowl conference teams that lose in week one...wouldn't have to pay for travel, etc for the rest of the year!!! Cost savings!!!

This seems reasonable.
 




So that would be a 128 team bracket, with 9 teams getting byes? It would be fun just to see what a bracket like that would potentially look like.

Would it be a 1 and done or a double elimination?

I will work on it this evening. Not going to lie...I thought there was 119 in college football...every team in the country will be in...preseason top 10 get 1st round (1st week) off.
 


I would eagerly anticipate that #64 vs #65 matchup to see who gets to play Alabama.

They seriously need to consider adding this feature to the video games.

No doubt...it would be like March Madness...ALL YEAR LONG!!!

And also, for sure!! that 64-65 matchup is a PICK'EM!!

But then the 119th team would have no one to play. In a 128 team bracket the #10 plays #119.

We would need someone to get out their NCAA 2012 out and sim these games for us. :D
 






Finally, a ''true champion''! I will finally get a good nites sleep knowing that we have dispensed with all those superfoulous regular season games.....can't wait for that one year that Iowa will have a 4 game season!

Maybe we have to rethink this, I mean we need to at least have a conference schedules.

So each league plays a 8 game schedule, then based on the rankings start playing a double elimination tournament in November that would finish around NYD. No non conference schedule, no conference title game, just play your conference and then everyone plays in the tournament. The champion ends up playing a 15 or 16 game schedule the rest play a minimum of 10 games, excluding potential bowl games. The lower seed hosts the game unless they hosted the previous round, if both hosted the previous round then the lower seed hosts. BCS bowl sites used for the Final Four and Title game.
