Yes, but I am to understand that Iowa State Cyclones are another "Big Time" program in the state, and they have one of the best coaches in the country, and they are quickly rising to prominence. I figured it would be a topic of interest during the long summer.

Dumbest rule ever. I have never been to Packers accademy or played for Green Bay, nor do I live there, but I root for them (always have, always will). ISU fans logic makes no sense to me.
For same reason as every year. Why talk about what we already know is going to happen. The real questions surround who will finish second in the Big 12 this year.
By this logic you cannot cheer for any professional team unless you have or currently work for the organization.
