Could Bill Carmody be Fired at NW?

I didnt think they were even close to doing this but it seems like a possibility. What do you think?

I hope they do, that way they can return to the bottom of the B1G where they belong, and stop beating IA on a regular basis.

This would be a stupid thing for them to do. This is the best 4 year stretch in the history of Northwestern basketball since the 30s.

As much as I despise Northwester I don't see how you can fire Carmody. They will make the NCAA tournament soon, possibly next season, and a new coach isn't going to magically make them a perennial NCAA tournament team. There's a very good reason they've never made the NCAA tournament. Carmody has several nice pieces coming in next year that they would likely lose if he his fired. I just don't see how you can fire the guy.

This relatively new NW AD needs to look at the history of NW basketball as carmody has had some of the best success they have ever had.

They could be doing a Tom Davis!!!

They need to let a kid or two a year slide through below their normal admission standards, too, because as things stand now, they cannot qualify any athletes coming out of CPS. If they could and if they had better facilities and a willingness to play the game with the CPS coaches, I see no reason they couldn't become a solid competitor in the B10 that can aim higher than an annual sweep of Iowa and a win over Illinois once a decade.
