Dayton Media Notes: Their Intel







I believe this is only the 2nd time these two teams have ever faced each other. The only other meeting was in 1979 resulting in a 61-54 Iowa win, however, that is the game in which Ronnie Lester was hurt.

On paper it looks like we should match up well. They aren't a real big team and they lost one of thier biggest and best forwards for the year with a knee injury.
 








This was his first season at Georgia Tech.

The Dayton coach (Archie Miller) was an assistant at Arizona who worked for his brother.
 


I was watching some of their videos from the year. They seem like a Live By the Three, Die by the Three sort of team. Point guard has really good handles and it looks like he's their leading scorer -- the sort of guy who could have a career day against Iowa. Otherwise, I like how Iowa matches up with their personnel.

He can't be better than Jordan Taylor. WI was another team we played this year whose leading scorer was the PG. Marble gave him fits both times. We could actually match-up well here.

Jeff Zimmerman is the SOB that pushed Lester from behind. I've always vowed that if I ever met him, I'd punch him right in the mouth.
