was looking at how important the NWvs Iowa game is for who might get a NCAA bid
NW has Michigan at home
at PSU
Home against OSU then the game at Iowa
that looks like NW could very easily finish with 4 straight losses and be looking toward next year to try again oh Boo Hoo

Iowa has Wisconsin @ home
Illinois on the road
Nebraska on the road
and NW @ home
allwinniable and all loseable
but i like iowa's chances to win out

when you look at how the conference was predicted to have 7-8 teams in the dance, Iowa's chance just went up and NW went down
Illinois is getting blown out by OSU that will give them 10 losses in BT play, another team being picked to be in the Dance, annd will not make it.
allthis means nothing if Iowa fails to win their last 4
but what it does do is it favors a higher than a 11th place finish that was predicted
 


Iowa won't win their last 4, but if they do, they still aren't making the NCAA tournament. But keep going with your pipe dream.
 


This thread again?? WE AINT DANCIN'. If we somehow won the BTT, the NCAA would rifle through the rules looking for the exact phrase.

They'd make it if they won 2 or 3 in the BTT. That'd put them at 20-14 (10-8) or 21-14 (10-8). That would be 7-8 wins in a row at the end of the season with wins over Wisc, Ind, and then quality BTT wins. It is possible to get in without winning the tournament. Same kind of situation as Penn State had last year.

Yeah, it's possible. Win out and win first 3 games of BTT and you are on the bubble of getting in. That means we have to win 7 straight.

7 straight. Why is this thread here? And why am I responding in it? Gah....
 


if we won every game till the big 10 championship game then lost that, we would still get in. just because there is no way that will happen doesn't mean that we wouldn't get in if did happen.

Sure there is a way. Our RPI will probably still be bad and we have some bad losses on our resume. We would be on the bubble.
 


because people hate the Idea of Iowa making the dance or even winning, they sound like Lick lovers to me and want Fran to fail

i asked this before have you got a time machine and have seen the end of the season or maybe you can see into the future to say with absolute certainty they didn't, if not then STFU, because you are the joke
 


We can play the role of The Spoiler the rest of the way.....

A loss to the Hawks for Illinois and NorthWestern just might remove them from serious contention as far as dancing is concerned.....

Wildcats could be more apprehensive about playing at Carver than they are about the other games left on their schedule.....

It would be Most Sweet to knock NW out of the Dance.....
