I think this team is finally beginning to hit it's stride. BC is playing well, MB is figuring it out, AW is on fire, etc.

I should probably know this... and at one point I think I did, but can anyone give me a brief summary of why Hightower dislikes Iowa?

Hightower dislikes all 345 Division 1 basketball teams, just ask any fanbase.

Iowa does not defend the 3 very well, this game is scary. I think Northwestern will win by 12 points or more.

I would be very happy to be wrong but this is my thinking about the game as well. As much as we seem to provide breakout games for opposing players shooting from the beyond the arc, I expect four or five Wild Kitties to have career games against us. They will kill Iowa on the perimeter, unless the team has learned perimeter D the past couple days.
 


Michigan is a perimeter oriented, 3 point shooting team that we shut down. It's really a crap shoot playing teams that rely on the three so much, sure if you leave them open they are more likely to hit but even then it's no gimme shot even when open.

If Northwestern goes cold from three we win, if they don't we lose.
 


Some guy from the Ukraine who is 4/65 on the year will hit 8 threes in the Cats win over Iowa. It is a given.

Northwestern is a nightmare matchup? Really? I've read where we arent athletic enough to play with most teams. I wouldn't exactly call Northwestern a very athletic team. We will run them to death. Let Shurma shoot 3s until the cows come home. One guy will not beat us. Our defense aint quite there yet, but, it's improving. Hawks by 10.
