End game Wisconsin clock management

calling 2 timeouts is stupid maybe but i wouldn't call it poor clock management. The spike was 50 50, maybe they get it in time and maybe they don't. They definitely didn't have time to call a play tho

Better 3 losses than our 6. Ferentz isn't only conservative on game day, but he's one of the most conservative recruiters I've ever seen. He needs to take some tips from Fran and go after top players instead of 2 and 3 stars that may or may not become competitive in the Big Ten. My point being, I'd rather our coaches be aggressive in all aspects and go out trying to reach our full potential, than lie down and hope things work out.

If you are 1/2 as good a fan, as you are a troll.....then I would say you are one h*ll of a fan!

KF recruits all sorts of high * players. We don't get many, but then again Iowa is a tough sell over Ohio St., Florida, Michigan, etc...

KF can take a page from Fran when Fran has won 2 Big10 titles, and has gone to 2 elite 8's.....maybe you should look at reality and see which of the two coaches has actually produced some actual results.

I love how people accuse someone of being a troll just because they don't agree, instead of having a mutual disagreement. Fran is rebuilding a program that was completely set back from the end of Alford and the Lick years and just beat Wisconsin at the Kohl Center, something virtually impossible to do, by the end of his coaching career at Iowa he'll have some very impressive feats. By now, Ferentz should have established a consistency in his program rather than fielding back to back disappointments. Apparently you're happy with mediocrity, I'm not.
 


Also, Kirk was 1-10 and 3-9 in his first two seasons, so your comparison falls flat right there.

I love how people accuse someone of being happy with mediocracy because we don't agree with them....:rolleyes: I called you a troll as you have all of 26 posts and you are ripping on KF....

I support Fran totally, but you need a reality check. Fran signed 2 4* recruits. KF has brought in dozens of 4* recruits and has won 2 big10 titles and gone to 2 BCS Bowl game. While I'm sure Fran will get the job done, I'm sure he would be the first to tell you he hasn't accomplished 1/10 of what KF has at Iowa......

Because I'm new to posting to the forums that means I'm not able to criticize our coach? You must have never been new to the forums apparently. You're assuming just because I never posted here until a month or so ago I haven't been a fan for much, much longer. Your logic is just impeccable. Guess I better up my post numbers before I start evaluating anything Hawkeye, what's the number before that's allowed, you seem to think you know?

Just saying most guys that come on here flaming right out the box are trolls. Maybe if you made some reasonable statements, I wouldn't think you were a troll.

BTW when I was new to the site I was being positive about the team I support. I am still positive, and call out those that I think are trolling, whether they have 20 posts or 2000 posts.

Either way I'm not sure why you even care if I think you are a troll or not....keep on trolling....errrrrr......I mean posting, don't mind me.;)

Fair enough, and usually I am very optimistic when it comes to Iowa sports programs. I guess I'm just frustrated with us not reaching what I felt was our full potential the last couple of seasons. Come September I'll be in Kinnick cheering for a W but I think there's a lot of things needing sorted before now and then, when they are, I'll feel much more positive about the future of the program.

Never said it did. Just stated that usually people with 26 posts who come out bashing the coaches right away are trying to stir the pot, or are trolling. Maybe he was, maybe he wasn't. Not sure why he or you for that matter cares if I thought he was trolling?
 


In fairness, I don't think rhoffs8 is a troll by the classic definition. Yes, he's critical of the program. No, I don't agree with a number of assertions (like the recruiting criticism), but I think overall his replies reflect a more genuine intent than a true message board troll.

It just seemed to me right out of the shoot he was trolling....I really don't think so after further discussion.

I think the problem is lots of us are frustrated. There is plenty to criticize about the program right now, so I guess it shouldn't be surprising that others find things wrong with the program that I might not agree with.

I agree, I did too. I tend to be more defensive of the criticism of the program as well, so I can see where you are coming from originally.
 


I don't think there is anything wrong with calling out low post number trolls who only show up to talk crap after a loss. I bet if Iowa won on Friday, Rhoffs wouldn't be here dishing out kudos.
