Is the ice cream at Carver THAT good?

I have been to a handful of basketball games in Carver and people have raved about it for years. I remember being at the NIT game there in 2002 and my friend went back for seconds of it. I have resisted the temptation since but decided to try it Wednesday night.

Except I never got to try it. I saw tons of people eating cones prior to tip off and was going to wait until halftime to try some. Bad move. All the lines were insanely long and after waiting for 15 min only moving several steps, I decided to go back to my seat.

This brings me to the title of the post. Is the ice cream at Carver THAT good? What makes it so special?

Guessing from the comments here from those that were at the game the other night, I would guess its the heat that makes them taste so good!

The chocolate rasberry twist is what makes it special for me. It's also just the fact that it is tradition and I remember eating the ice cream at the games when I was a kid.
