Question about the off topic board . . .

I have been trying to get on the "off topic" board so I could join in on the famous Beer Thread. But it always tells me that I am not "authorized" to post on that board.

I have sent a couple of notes to the admins (whether it is going to Jon - I don't know) But I get no response.

I can see why you might need to be approved for the "political board". But why on earth is discussing Beer, Meat Smokers or Lawn mowers considered to be "dangerous subjects" reserved for only the most savvy poster???

Or -- is my account just messed up?

alright -- before I get blasted. I see there is another topic on the OT board. Apparently you have to "opt in" but no one knows how you go about doing it? And also - I am not talking about Android - I'm just trying to use this board from my PC. Geeez - all I wanted to do was discuss Beer - I had no idea that it was so controversial. You would think this was a Husker board. LOL
