David Max the runner of HUSKERMAX, is from Shenandoah, Ia and gave me a free subscription to his site. Going to his free food and booze tailgate on Friday. I have been over there on their site, calling for Bo's head, sound familiar? Of course I started a thread and they are saying watch out a ****** off group of Huskers will be taking the field Friday...I would probably agree, we are going to get their best shot!

A guy from Iowa running a Husker web site what a shock.

To be fair, Shenendoah is more Missouri than it is Iowa to start out with. But too far from Columbia to have an interest there. Plus they had a receiver that played for Nebby in the 80s. (Todd Milikan).

What exactly is the cutoff line rooting for a different state. Anything west of Atlantic?

Good call- I grew up in Atlantic- definitely NOT a husker town. But Red Oak, Shen, Walnut, all of those are more red than anything else. Of course they get Omaha stations on the tube and are more likely to receive the Weird Herald instead of the Register so they are brow beaten with hukker propaganda. True story: Today, the number 2 story on KETV.com was "Huskers travel to Michigan". I thought, gee I hope so because it'd be boring if they try to play in Lincoln when the Wolverines and all their fans were in Ann Arbor. But somehow, in Nebraska, that is news.

sioux city is pretty much a hawk town. there aren't any husker bars that i know of, but there are quite a few hawk ones. there are a lot of husker fans over here though, mostly from migration over state lines.

my wife grew up in the harlan area. her father now lives in stinken lincoln. He is a die hard husker fan and tries to dress my kids in red crap with a big N on it. Its from grandpa so the kids like it and he thinks he's funny. The hawks better fricken win. I never understood how he became a husker fan growing up in iowa. I grew up a hawk fan and have moved all over and I still am a hawk fan.

Harlan is a Hukker town. Go to the UniDome the next time Harlan is in the semis or finals and you will see a microcosm of Nebby fans. When Harlan loses, it is everyone else's fault, certainly not the fault of the team. Treynor is another hukker town. They even try to recreate the tunnel walk playing Sirius by APP. Pretty dang funny when you realize there are only about 1800 people in Treynor and the closest thing to a "tunnel" their football field has is the overhang at the concession stand.
